Playability, variety, beauty, tradition, fun, memorability, maintenance, environment and profit are many of the assets incorporated into "The Mustang" at Ross Rogers. Sherwin Cox, Director of Golf for over 30 years at Ross Rogers stated, "I never thought we would get this kind of drama and impact with the budget we had. It's a new course."
The Mustang was designed to be a complement to the existing Wildhorse golf course by being somewhat of a contrast. The design includes three double green complexes, wide-rolling user friendly fairways, tightly mowed green surrounds, collector greens, designed native areas for wildlife habitat and a look unique to Amarillo.
